DRY VACUUM EXCAVATION AND WET VACUUM EXCAVATION

All Tellus vacuum excavation systems employ proprietary technology that gives the operator the ability to excavate with either high-pressure water or compressed air. This is not a traditional washable filter that will slowly reduce vacuum flow to a level that will force you to shut down. This is a revolutionary technology that prevents water and soil from building a non-porous dirt cake on the surface of the filter. Operators no longer need to be concerned about selecting the type of system that will work best in the soil conditions at each particular job site. They now have the prerogative to make decisions based upon the type of excavating that will be the most cost-effective and safest for the conditions at hand.

ADVANTAGES OF DRY EXCAVATION

  1. Guarantees no utility damage

  2. Can be used with any utility

  3. The hole dug is relatively small

  4. Dirt is stored in a tank, keeping the work area clean

  5. Hole dug is easy to patch

  6. Air does not need to be refillled

ADVANTAGES OF WET EXCAVATION

  1. Less invasive than other excavation methods

  2. More precise leading to less waste and less restoration

  3. Requires less man power

  4. Work area is more clean because the dirt is stored in a tank

ZERO MAINTENANCE FILTRATION SYSTEM

Some excavation vacuum systems are promoted as “self-cleaning” filters or “back-wash” systems but all Tellus filtration systems are truly maintenance-free filters that never require cleaning. It doesn’t matter if you excavate with air or water, this proprietary filtration system cleans itself automatically while the operator is excavating.

PURCHASE COST & OPERATING COST

The cost to purchase a vacuum excavation system and the cost to operate that system are two of the most important factors you should examine when considering the purchase of a vacuum truck or trailer. Fully capable Tellus vacuum excavation systems are engineered to be lighter and therefore can be mounted on lighter, less expensive vehicles. You will also find that after you have made your decision to purchase a new machine, fuel cost will become your most important cost of ownership. You will be amazed at the fuel efficiency that a fully capable Tellus system will deliver.
